Important information to get the most from your treatment 

  

  • Please make yourself aware of our cancellation and late arrival policy

  • Totally Treated massage therapy reserve the right to refuse or stop treatment 

  • Any inappropriate requests, suggestions will not be tolerated and the treatment will stop and the customer asked to leave and will be unable to book any further treatments

Before your treatment

  • Bathing or showering before treatment is necessary for hygiene and also removes creams, oils etc from your skin and hair this will allow for easy absorbtion of oils used during your treatment 

  • Be aware some of our treatments may include oils used to the scalp it may be a good idea to tie your hair up after treatment as hair can appear to be a little oily

  • Jewelry will be removed during treatment so please try and leave this at home

  • Please avoid alcohol or non prescriptive drugs 24 hours prior to your treatment as we may be unable to carry out your treatment

  • Complete the consultation form honestly as this form is to help make sure your chosen treatment is safe to be carried out

Aftercare advice 

​Some clients may experience side effects after their treatment including nausea, feeling light headed and thirst these are normal if you are affected by any of these side effects drink plenty of water and rest as much as possible

  • Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins : massage aids the removal of toxins from the body

  • Refrain from alcohol or smoking if you can for the next 24 hours, the aim of massage is to help detoxify the body - alcohol and smoking are counter productive in this process

  • Please avoid bathing or showering for at least 6-8 hours if essential oils have been used during your treatment as these need to penetrate the skin to achieve the best results

  • Avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight and avoid sunbeds if certain essential oils are used as these can be  photosensitive and cause a skin reaction

  • Make some time for yourself to relax
